using latest pfsense, installed squid and it is running as far as I can tall (how to access logs on the pfsense box from windows ?).

Installed lightsquid from the package menu and done a restart.

When choosing STATUS > PROXY REPORT you get this error:

      XML error:no packagegui object found!

I just want to be able to access the squid logs not really fussed about using the broken lightsquid, is there an easy way i can access the logs folder as a windows share ?

      thanks

Enable SSH and use putty + WinSPC3

Broken installation. Remove Lightsquid and install now

thanks for the reply. Tried uninstalling lightsquid but it errors out wit the same XML error as above.

I do have a backup config file, if i restore this will it wipe the package history too ?

          thanks

ps if i run a pkg_info from the shell it DOESNT show lightsquid as installed, BUT it does show it installed from the web interface.

            fixed my error.

            Downloaded http://www.pfsense.com/packages/config/lightsquid/lightsquid.inc and http://www.pfsense.com/packages/config/lightsquid/lightsquid.xml

dumped them on the pfsense box, then had pfsense reinstall lightsquid and it worked.
