Here's what I want to do: I want to run a message board/game server for myself and my friends. I have an domain at Dreamhost (all intensive purposes, myhomeip.net) that I have been using to connect to my network at home, that gets updated through a script because I don't have a static IP. I would like to have all traffic for the game server running off a subdomain (ie: game.myhomeip.net). I know there are work arounds with port forwarding and such but generally don't want to do that, it's easier just to say "Go to game.myhomeip.net" and have it work. I was looking for a howto on TynyDNS but with no luck, could someone help, or tell me the config just won't work and you have to use port forwarding.

    My setup for now:
DSL on WAN, LAN to home network (with game server), OPT1 not being used at this point.
more info if needed: using OpenDNS servers for dns, dreamhost nameservers are ns1.dreamhost.com, ns2… and ns3...
no $ for static ip or private server on dreamhost.

Since you apparently have only one public IP address you will have to use some sort of port forwarding.
