My guess is more than one CARP IP with the same VHID. The same problem showed up at the IRC channel today and it was several IPs using the same VHID.

using ifconfig everything is normal vhids are sequential and all ips are different on both master and backup. I actually found this while troubleshooting why i can't download files over 100k and emails larger than 200k over ipsec.

okay this is what i found if you have a address of *x.x.x.25 and you also have a address of x.x.x.2 you will ned up  with the same carp numbers. I have fixed it but still does not solve my problem of not being able to download files or email attachments. I have tried every suggestions mentioned on the forum. So i am open to new ideas
