      Hello pfSense users,

I am experiencing a problem where my homeserver is unable to reach out to the internet once all the computers in my home are powered off..
My VPS is also unable to FTP a daily backup to my homeserver's FTP service during midnight. This runs fine during daytime/once my computers are on.

At the RRD graphs I can see that the connection to the gateway never goes offline. Also, I never have problems with internet on the other computers in my network.

Does pfSense have some sort of auto-block function built-in that I am unaware of?

I'm running the latest pfSense BETA 2.0 and I have MAC cloning activated. My WAN modem is a DOCSIS 3.0 Motorola modem.
My homeserver runs VMWare. The FTP service runs on the host os whereas pfSense runs in a virtual machine.
The virtual interfaces are bridged to my physical network interfaces.

      Thanks for your reply.

Not enough info there to tell you. My first guess is you're relying on a NIC that becomes inactive when the machines are turned off.

          Actually, that seems very logical..

I feel stupid now, lol. I'll give it a try in the evening!

          Thanks.
