I have a wireless link from wich I receive internet (2 Mb link) and gives to a network (20 PC) behind a PFSense router . I wish to optimize somehow the PFSense to improve the quality of the link because my connection does not support large traffic, especially large numbers of connections (such as P2P).

I would appreciate if someone could guide me to make such an optimization.

I would create rules in your LAN IF section to only Allow the traffic you want allowed. IE write rules to allow web, https, dns, etc, and then change the default allow all to deny all. You can also make use of the traffic shaper to prioritize traffic.
