Just want to make sure I don't screw anything up.

My pfSense box has been freezing lately almost every night so I decided it was time for an upgrade.
The current setup is on an AMD Athlon 64 3200+ CPU.  The new setup will be a dual core Core i3 Intel CPU.

Current version of pfSense: 1.2-RELEASE built on Sun Feb 24 17:04:58 EST 2008

      I downloaded pfSense-Full-Update-1.2.3-RELEASE.tgz

From what I've read I should be able to:

      1. Swap out the hardware
      2. Boot into BIOS and disable ACPI and all unused hardware
      3. Boot up the system and potentially deal with any interface mismatches
      4. Then run the update via the web interface (might have to run twice to change to the SMP kernel)

Then everything should be good I hope.

Any flaws in this plan?  Potential problems moving to a completely different platform.  I have made a configuration backup.

Should be alright. Give it a whack.
