Traffic Graphs & CPU Usage
-
I'm running 2.0-BETA4 (i386)
built on Mon Dec 6 19:11:01 EST 2010
on a Watchguard Firebox x700 with a laptop IDE hard drive, full install, embedded kernel.I've noticed for awhile now since running 2.0 my CPU usage is very high when watching any one traffic graph. I did not have this problem on 1.2.3 Release on the the same hardware.
If I am viewing one graph CPU goes to 20-25%, add a second graph and it's 40-50% etc.
If I close the graphs CPU goes to 2-3% as normal. Watching top from the console shows the same numbers as the dashboard concerning CPU usage.I know the firebox is not very powerful hardware and it might be the debugging that's enabled in the beta but I thought I would throw this out there in case it might be a problem for someone else.
I am running one other 2.0 install on a P4 3.2Ghz with a couple Gig's of ram that show VERY low cpu usage even with 4 traffic graphs being displayed. It's running 2.0-BETA4 (i386)
