Still fail to forward VNC port 5900 after following the tutorial.
-
Hi all,
I'm following this tutorial to forward VNC Port 5900.
http://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/How_can_I_forward_ports_with_pfSense%3FBut i still failed after trying many time.
I use my router (DLINK 2640B) to connect to pfsense. Just asking, did i need to forward port at my router also?
-
yes, you need to forward your ports on the dlink, OR put the host in question on the DMZ (on the dlink)
why would you use a dlink router and pfsense in the first place ?
-
because my router is also my modem..
And if i forward at my router, where Ip address need i go?
To my backup server (192.168.1.55) , my pfsense wan(192.168.2.2) or my pfsense Lan (192.168.1.1)

You need to forward it to the pfSense WAN IP.

Thanks all for the help, i will do it right away.
Update soon.
