      Hi Everyone,

I've seen these pair of messages in system.log 3 times in the last 16 hours:

      pfsense1 apinger: ALARM: WAN(xx.xx.xx.xx)  *** delay ***
      pfsense1 apinger: alarm canceled: WAN(xx.xx.xx.xx)  *** delay ***

WAN is a PPPoE connection and xx.xx.xx.xx is my ISP's default gateway. The "alarm canceled" message always appears 7 seconds after the "ALARM" message.

Is this anything to worry about? I'm running pfSense on the Firebox x700 (risksy!) however havn't actually noticed any watchdog timeouts (see here: http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=7458.0) or any real problems on this build.

      I'm running pfSense 2.0 BETA5 1/1/11

      Thanks

I found this post which seems to be exactly my problem: http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=28389.0

Refering to Bug 911 in Redmine, can someone please confirm that when apinger detects a monitor IP as being down, provided there aren't any load balancers set up it won't kill the states? I have a setup where I have 2 Internet connections however they aren't used in a failover/load-balanced fashion.

        Thanks
