      hello experts,

      i want to initialize the update functions, but gives only errors :(
      can someone help me out

      Could not contact pfSense update server http://snapshots.pfsense.org/FreeBSD_RELENG_8_1/amd64/pfSense_HEAD/.updaters/
      

      which adress is the right one?

        The only time I've seen this was when the system didn't have a default route (see http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/topic,27636.0.html) but there are other possible causes including a variety of internet hiccups (e.g. name server overload so it didn't respond "soon enough", internet links down etc)

        I don't know what the correct URL is but I wouldn't be in a hurry to decide that the URL must be wrong.

          That is the correct URL, but you probably don't have working DNS if you obtain it from DHCP and you're on a build from earlier this week.

          Go to system > general, pop in a DNS server (like 8.8.8.8, Google public DNS) then update and you can switch it back after it's done.

            sry guys,

            my problem is now, that the update is not digital signiert - so i cant install the latest build :(

            have someone the same issue?

            can someone help?

              Snapshots have never been digitally singed, just go to the firmware settings page and tick the box to ignore the signing
