      Hello !

I have installed pfSense on a Dell Dimension 8400 with integrated Intel PRO 1000 mb NIC which is also
connected to my local gigabit LAN.
The problem now ist that the network driver that is loaded only detects 10/100 mb when i look at
      ifconfig -m

      What could be the problem?
      Thanks for any help…

I tried the snapshot but it did not change anything, sorry.
Is there any possibility to find the reason for my problem?

Weird, have you tried replacing the cable?

I can only assume the card would be unknown. Not half working.

I think he is trying to say it is auto-negotiating the speed incorrectly.

Try adjusting your switch/hub settings if that is possible.

You could always try puting the NIC in a windows box, downloading the setup utilities, and hard setting the uplink settings in firmware.
