Amazon Kindle 3 Causes Reboot
-
I am running the latest snapshot, but have seen this on many of the previous snapshots. My Kindle 3 causes pfsense to reboot after connecting to the WiFi. I am using the run driver for a USB dongle. I am able to connect using other devices, such as my laptop, without issue.

I apologize for the second post, I hit "Post" too early. I wanted to ask what is the best way to capture what is going on so that I can hopefully help resolve the issue.

there is an edit button…
install the developers kernal, that way pfsense will halt with the error messages on the screen instead of rebooting. -
It's probably a driver bug with run(4) and your chipset.
You can install the developer kernel as XIII says by following the directions here:
http://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Switching_KernelsMake sure you have a console attached (video/keyboard or serial, serial is best for debugging) and when it panics, get a capture of the output. Then type "bt" at the debugger prompt to get a backtrace, and capture that output as well.

Thank you for the instructions, and I appreciate you following up on this. For reference, I am running the following snapshot:
