Pfsense 2.0

  • g'day , just manage to install pfsense 2 onto a system and thinking there issue with it..

    edit!  :P :P :P :P

OK i figured it out, using another type of browser ,  i now can see the rest of tabs..  ??? ??? ???

what i don't understand why it doesn't work on IE , as that only browser i use for local administration on my lan..

just Q will pfsense will add mac address only function to wireless  section..

so far so good, working nicely..

  • As you can see in the bottom right of your screenshot your Internet Explorer places the pfSense's IP address in the Internet which is usually a restricted zone, meaning that no (Java-)scripts will run on sites in that zone. Add the address of your pfSense box (https://192.168.1.1) to the trusted sites in IE and access the web frontend again.

    Greetings

    Trent

    howdy Trent ,

thanks for advice, but unfortunately that still doesn't show tabs .. .

That appears to be a really, really old version of IE.

Try a different theme, or ideally, use a different browser. Firefox, Opera, Chrome, Safari, or modern versions of IE work much better than IE 5/6.

  • IE 6 isn't supported and won't be, it's seriously broken in many ways and we aren't masochistic enough to even think about fixing it. Everything should work fine in IE 7 and 8.
