Netgate / Alix 2D3 LAN Port Issues

I am currently running an Alix 2d3 from Netgate 1.2.3-RELEASE with the LAN and WAN ports currently in use.

The LAN port seems to keep dropping off as follows:

Jan 20 21:58:27 kernel: vr0: link state changed to DOWN
Jan 20 22:01:06 kernel: vr0: link state changed to UP

Jan 20 22:01:18 kernel: vr0: link state changed to DOWN
Jan 20 22:01:20 kernel: vr0: link state changed to UP

etc… throughout the day -- which in turn kicks people off the net

do you guys think this is a defective unit from a hardware perspective /is there something in the software i should check ?

Change the cable first and the switch port second if the cable doesn't help. If that still doesn't fix it then you probably have a bad system.
