      Hi all,

I'm looking to install pfSense on a Nokia IP560 firewall. Hardware:

Nokia IP560 with (1) 10/100/1000 Quad interface, 1 gig memory, 1 gig flash card, 2 SATA slots, 2.7 GHz Xeon Processor.

Running pfSense should not be a problem, right? Can someone confirm that?

      Cheers!

        Power wise: sure!

Other people seem to be doing similar things:

All depends on what mobo/nic is in there, i guess.

        You could just try?

Thank you for your reply! Currently I'm running our pfSense on an Fujitsu-Siemens RX100 server (but would like to reassign that server as a backup system) and the IP560 I found is for sale; before buying it I wanted to know if someone already successfully installed pfSense on it.

My guess is, is to install pfSense on a CF disk on a different machine and put it in the IP560.

If you could dig up the specs for the Nokia (chipset/interface) you could see if it is in the HCL for FreeBSD.
