Please can someone explain to me, using pfSense (I am on 2 BETA) and squid and the related squidguard, how do I block https sites when using transparent proxy? Lets say I want to block http://www.facebook.com and https://www.facebook.com/.

As has been explained many times before, you cannot transparently proxy HTTPS and thus you can't filter it.
