Static route VPN overide

I have the PFsense and another box creating a VPN. The othe box is plugged into PFsense on a 2nd interface with a difference subnet. What I am trying to do is if the traffic is distend for an address on the remote subnet bypass the PFsense VPN and use the other equipment.

The only problem is I have put static routes in and put rules in the LAN section to force it to use a different gateway and overide the inbuilt VPN routes.

I am Running v2.0 with no mods. Can anyone tell me how to override the PFsense VPN to use a gatway for say 1 ip address on the remote network.
