Can't download Certificates in Internet Explorer 8
-
On both the Feb 18th snapshot and the Feb 24th snapshot, I cannot download anything from the Cert Manager using Internet Explorer 8. I get this error message: "Internet Explorer cannot download system_certmanager.php from 192.168.50.1. Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later."
I've tried on 3 different machines. However, Firefox 3.6.12 and 3.6.13 can download the certs just fine.

what theme are you using? I just tried it with ie8 and snapshot of 17th and no problems using the nervecenter theme – when I get home I will update the snapshot and try to duplicate your issue.

I am a new user, so you should not take it for granted, but downloading certificates in system_usermanager.php does not work.
Click Create Server Certificate … Enter name and lifetime and nothing happens.I tested IE and Firefox on 24 February version.
Kind regards, Grub

I'm not using any particular theme, just the default one.

I wasn't trying to download them any special way; I was just trying to download them through the web gui.

Using 2.0 Beta 5 (feb 22 / feb 23 / feb 24 / feb 25{the last one before the snaps-server "maintenance"}) ;D
I don't know about IE8, but IE9 RC is evil :-X with the dashboard widgets.
After I added and removed the "Service Status" widget using IE9 RC it duplicates it self, and remains duplicated even when adding and removing with FF 4 beta 12.
(I hoped to get a single instance again adding and removing with FF)
I tried a second time using IE9 RC and not only did the widget duplicate again when I save settings I have 3 instances of "Service status" in the dashboard.I am afraid that when IE9 gets to final, web browsing as we know it, will take a nose dive…

…a nosedive right into Chrome, FF, Safari, Opera... and put the final nail in IE's coffin.
(Wishful thinking, I know...)

Ok using the current snap, and before that snap from 17th - and both download the certs with IE just fine.
2.0-RC1 (i386)
built on Mon Feb 28 18:12:00 EST 2011Tried every cert and key there is to download in the cert manager - all fine.
Tried multiple themes, code-red, pfsense, pfsense_ng, I use nervecenter no problems on any of them.

Not on my end. Feb 28th RC and I still can't download them using IE. I can open them but I can't save them.

Well that would point to a problem with your IE not pfsense. Especially since you also say it works fine in Firefox and chrome.. What makes more sense problem with pfsense that causes only issue with IE on your machine and not mine but works fine on firefox and chrome on yours, etc. or your IE being jacked? ;)

Ah, but I've tried on 3 different machines with 2 different Pfsense boxes. I definitely see evidence both ways.

Is your GUI running HTTP or HTTPS? That's usually what makes IE break.
