My question is will pfsense work in the following scenerios:

      1. Support a couple of thousand computers?  Is it robust enough on the right hardware?
      2. Support for multiple pfsense firewalls in a cluster for redundancy? I would like to setup two firewalls for redudancy having one of my DS3 going to one firewall and the other DS3 to another and do fail-over/load balancing between the two.

I am very interested to see if anyone is using pfsense in a mid-size to large environment.

There are several people that use pfSense with users into the thousand range. With the right hardware pfSense can certainly handle a couple of thousand users.

Thanks for the posts.  DS3=45 mb we have two servicing the site.  Now it is a manual fail-over by switching cables.
