      Hello,

I've installed pfsense 2.0-RC1-IPv6 (i386), I have read the tutorial (http://iserv.nl/files/pfsense/ipv6/) to getting the IPv6 support.
I've Gitsyncing my PfSense with GitSync and I've installed all upgrades who are available after this.

      Last installed update : 2.0-RC1-IPv6 (i386) built on Wed Mar 23 00:50:17 EDT 2011

The status of the captive portal is normal (the status on the dashboard is 'Running'), but the authentication page isn't accessible.

The error message on the client's web browser is:

      The connection has timed out
The server at [@_IP] is taking too long to respond

I think this can help you: (error in syslog)

      apinger: Starting Alarm Pinger, apinger(25375)
apinger: Error while feeding rrdtool: Broken pipe
apinger: /usr/local/bin/rrdtool respawning too fast, waiting 300s.
      rtadvd[51118]: <ra_output>sendmsg on xl1: Permission denied

      XML configuration file:

Is it necessary to give the XML configuration file?

      Do you need more information?

Have you solutions or ideas ?

      thank you in advance</ra_output>

Captive portal with IPv6 will never work as ipfw does not support ipv6 according to one of the developers.

I thought ipfw and ip6fw were merge together? Maybe the ipv6 isn't compiled in the build.

Thank you, have you an idea about a possible update that would allow the use of pfSense captive portal without conflict with IPv6?

ipfw fwd doesn't support IPv6 (ipfw does support IPv6 in general, but fwd doesn't work), which is what CP uses for the redirect. that will be fixed in FreeBSD at some point, possibly by us, but for the immediate future there won't be IPv6 CP.
