I wanted to anonymize the squid-installation and wondered a bit that "via off" doesn't work as expected. So looking around found that (http://www.squid-cache.org/Doc/config/via/):

      Configuration Details:
      Option Name: via
      Replaces:
      Requires: –enable-http-violations
      Default Value: via on

Now i saw that squid 3 (and squid 2.7) were not compiled with that option enabled.

Now my big question: Is that an easy job to compile squid on my own or are there special dependencies respect to pfsense? Would be great if someone could trigger me to the right way. Thanks!
