      Hello everybody,

I'm new on this forum. Initially, I have to excuse me for my english that is not very good (I'm french).

This week, I recovered an old pc with a Pentium 4 - 3,00 Ghz and 1Go of RAM.
I would like to use it for install and discover pfSense. Is it possible ?

I read some tutorials and I saw that my PC needs two interfaces, one for the WAN and the other for the LAN.
The problem is that I just have one ethernet on the PC.

Could you explain me how, if it's possible of course, install and use pfSense on this PC please ?

      Thank you very much,

      Pierre

        To get you started…

First decide which version you would like to run.  1.2.3,  or the latest release candidate of 2.0...

        Go here...  http://www.pfsense.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=58&Itemid=46

download the live cd of the version you seek...

Load it in the cd rom drive of that machine and allow the machine to boot from the cd rom drive.

        French forum here...  http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/board,7.0.html

        Good luck!  :)

          Thanks for the rapidity.
I think that I will test the version 2.0 because the PC just has one network interface.

Thanks too for the French forum link ;)
