      Maybe i'm missing something.

But, after install 2.0 RC1 I'd made some changes and install some files to allow use of frontal leds (for example) or an special driver for the lcd panel of my x700 firebox.

Now, I've upgraded to lastest snapshot, and all my changes are missing on the new slice. Changing slice and rebooting on previous slice make my changes return, but with previous version of pfSense.

I don't know what I need to do for the files I've installed was permanent between slices.

      Any idea ?

      Thanks!

        Hi,
Perhaps copy your existing working slice that has your changes to the other slice (using duplicate under diagnostics->nanobsd) then upgrade? Not used pfsense long enough to know for sure but that's probably what I'd try & at least see. :)

Bummer then. Sorry, but good to know. :)
I wonder if an upgrade on nano/embedded is actually replacing the slice as an image (like with dd) vs copying files.. I suppose I could download an upgrade file & see. :D

It uses dd to make the update. What about packages? I don't tried to install a package, but think that with this method the packages don't survive an firmware update.

But as I already say, maybe i'm doing it wrong.
