Current AMD builds won't

  • After lossing the firewall by upgrading last Friday I've actually gone to the site to try a fresh install from the latest build. Same problem, it installs fine but the NICs just spew up messages to the screen after bootup.

So that's both the 8th and the 10th 64bit builds that will not run on my hardware (HP DL360 G7 latest bios 4 x broadcom nics)

Sadly the virtual media mounting through the ILO seems to cause a mount panic on the install so I'm actually forced to burn and visit the site and the only media I've brought with me was the latest build so I can't at this time say when the problem first crept into the build.

  • Got lucky and found an old RW CD in the car. So I can now confirm that this is the last build that installs successfully on the above hardware.

It was an issue with the bce driver we tried to update. The driver apparently didn't work, so it was rolled back. The next new snapshot should be OK.
