Unable to install on Biostar A770 A2+
I decided to replace the loud, noisy 1RU linux firewall sitting on my desk at home with pfsense, using an old PC I had sitting in the closet. This system is a Biostar A770 A2+ machine with Athlon 64x2 Dual Core proc and 4 GB RAM (completely overkill, I know, but it's what I have).
During boot using the 1.2.3 media, I receive an error stating "panic: ohci_add_done: addr 0xcfff1cf0 not found" and then the system reboots.
I've verified that the BIOS is the latest from the manufacturer.
I also tried downloading 2.0 RC1 - it installs without issue, but then it doesn't work nice afterwards. I receive a DHCP address from it, but it refuses to display the admin web page.
If at all possible, I prefer using the "official" release over anything else.
Any help is appreciated.
For what it's worth, I'm able to install OpenBSD 4.9 on this same hardware with no issues.
OHCI is almost certainly USB or firewire related.
If you aren't using either of those for pfSense I'd try going into the bios and disabling them.
Thanks for the reply.
I'm using a USB keyboard, but I'll see if I can't locate either an old PS/2 keyboard or one of the USB to PS/2 adapters, then disable the onboard USB and report back.
