      Hello everyone,

Some years ago I was using pfSense for managing a hotspot located in a shop. Now I have to turn it back on this system but with four shop, each with their DSL and if possible a single server that I use pfSense saw it as user management and captive portal.

Do you think it possible or do I really have a machine on each access dsl?

Thank you in advance for your help.

      (sorry for my bad english)

You have 4 shops, most likely on different locations, right?

Well, I am afraid you will have to have 4 pfSense boxes. For captive portal to work, the pfSense machine needs to be a gateway so it can control the traffic. It would be located between your DSL modem and the rest of the shop network (like your AP).

Maybe pfSense 2.0 will do http://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/2.0_New_Features_and_Changes#Captive_Portal

If I use 4 boxes I can use a external server for account synchronisation?
