Will this scenario work?
-
Hi All,
I work for a K12 High School. We are going to become the "hub" for Internet access to our sending districts. We will have a 50 MB fiber ethernet from our ISP. Each school has their own public IP subnet ranges that they will be keeping. Our ISP is going to route the ranges to the Interface on their router that connects our fiber. (not a specific IP address).
Currently, I have it configured with each sending schools public IP addresses set up as ProxyARP addresses. Can this setup work with CARP?
Thanks,
Jeff

If they're routed to you, you don't need anything at layer 2 ("Other" VIPs will suffice). To use that with CARP, have the ISP route the IP blocks to a CARP IP on your WAN subnet.
