      Hey all,

I'm not sure exactly what's going on here, but I upgraded to pfSense 2.0 by doing a fresh install, then updating to RC2. I have an HDHomeRun network HD Tuner on 192.168.0.10, and once it boots up I can ping it fine. However, none of the software that scans for the device can detect it anymore, and when accessing it directly by IP as I have in the past the queries to the device fails.

Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? I'm not sure how the HDHomeRun broadcasts, but it did show up fine in my DHCP leases with the same hostname it had before "HDHR-1019ADFC"

      Thanks,
      Ben

It seems unlikely but we need more information to know for sure.
What sort of network do you have? How many interfaces in your pfSense box? Are you trying to reach the HDHomeRun box from a different network segment?
If it is being blocked then you should see connection attempts in the firewall log.

I figured it out just a bit ago. I'm not sure what was going on, and I'll have to investigate because there were NO other computers on, but there was a network device on 192.168.0.11. I'm guessing something was going on with IP conflicts at .10 perhaps.

          Sorry for the confusion.
