No FreeSWITCH with 2.0????

  • I dont see a freeswtich entry in "package manager", is it not in 2.0?

  • I also noticed this.. a real shame..

  • Netgate Administrator

Hmm it's in the config file:

<descr>FreeSWITCH is an open source telephony platform designed to facilitate the creation of voice and chat driven products scaling from a soft-phone up to a soft-switch.  It can be used as a simple switching engine, a PBX, a media gateway or a media server to host IVR applications using simple scripts or XML to control the callflow.</descr>

It won't install on embedded. There's no maximum version requirement though.

  • Saw this on the mailing list the other day…

…speaking of VoIP, does anyone know if the FreeSwitch packages are ever getting updated?

It won't be, it's going to be replaced with FusionPBX, the successor
to our Freeswitch package. Mark Crane created it, then moved on to
FusionPBX, and will be creating a package for it to replace the
Freeswitch package at some point (not sure of his exact plans).
