I have a pFsense box with 5 cards 1 WAN, 1 LAN, and 3 OPT. The LAN and Opt's all have different subnets. I am trying to assign DHCP addresses to the subnets besides LAN but it is not working I get the lovely 169.XX… Read the pFsense book about DHCP and looked on the forums only finding people trying to put multiple subnets on the same interface which is not what i'm trying to do. Having enabled DHCP on the additional interfaces how do I get DHCP working properly? The idea behind the multiple subnets is for a business which needs to isolate its various forms of network traffic. Thanks for your response.

      Subnets are as follows:
      172.16.1.0/24
      192.168.1.0/24
      192.168.2.0/24
      192.168.10.0/24
      192.168.100.0/24

everey interface you assign needs a static IP address.
after saving and applying this you have to go to SERVICES - DHCP server and configure the dhcp server for you interfaces LAN, OPT1, OPT2, OPT3
        saving and applying this.
        Thats all.
