In 2.0 RC3 version freeradius fails to start properly after first reboot of installation of freeRadius package.

After the fresh installation of 2.0 RC3 version on my PC, I installed freeRadius package and then setup captive portal to authorize users through freeradius. It was working fine, but after reboot it is not starting properly and in log file it says:

Error: There appears to be another RADIUS server running on the authentication port 1812

To solve this issue temporary I have removed radiusd.sh file from /usr/local/etc/rc.d and doing a manual start of freeradius service to work properly.

How can this problem be solved to automate the startup of freeradius package on boot of pc? It was working fine in 1.2.3 version.

Despite the error in the logs it's running and it's attached to both ports with the same process id. It didn't show started at first in the GUI but after a few seconds it did.

Yes, it shows that servcie is running in GUI mode and in sytem processes but when you try to authenticate any user through captive portal it says:

Error: No Valid Radius Response Received.

It would have been nice to know that from the start, it sounded like it just wasn't starting at all - not that it started, was running, just not authenticating users properly. Completely different problem. I'm not setup to test that at the moment, I just tested that it was running.

After first reboot it shows that freedadius as running in GUI Mode and shows in the system process as well. But when I try to authenticate any user it says Error: No valid radius response received. and then if i restart the service manually it works fine.

But when system boots, it does not authenticate users automatically. Although it shows that service is running but does not authenticate.

I restart this service every time I start pfsense for radius to work.
