    How to allow the internet user ping the pfsense firewall

      i have to set the rule which is passed the ICMP(the picture included),but not work.
      how to fix it?

        Do you have any other devices in the way, like a DSL modem? This device could be blocking the ping before it reaches the firewall.

          Was there any rule before this which might block icmp? what interface put this?
          Can you try to create alias which has your external ip and assign that one to your firewall rule?

            I just have a GPON ONT modem and connected to the Pfsense.

              if you have basic lan rule on you should be able to ping wan interface to prove that modem doesn't block it

                  I tried to connect the modem to PC directly and its work for ping response.
                  I think the modem does not block the ICMP Response.

                    I have some queston..
                    After i set the rule,should i restart the pfsense?
                    because my server cannot be close in this moment.
