      How can I read out the raid status of my 3ware 8000 series controller?

      [2.0-RC3][root@pfsense.local]/root(10): mount
      /dev/twed0s1a on / (ufs, local)
      
      [2.0-RC3][root@pfsense.local]/root(11): smartctl -a /dev/twa0 -d 3ware,2
      smartctl 5.40 2010-10-16 r3189 [FreeBSD 8.1-RELEASE-p4 amd64] (local build)

      Smartctl open device: /dev/twa0 [3ware_disk_02] failed: No such file or directory

        Check the boot log and see if it was actually detected. (cat /var/log/dmesg.boot) It may not be twa0, it's probably twe0.

        $ apropos 3ware
        twa(4)                   - 3ware 9000/9500/9550/9650 series SATA RAID controllers driver
        twe(4)                   - 3ware 5000/6000/7000/8000 series PATA/SATA RAID adapter driver

          found it in the dmesg.boot, but how can I see the raid status now?  ???
