Can someone explain the following behavior I am experiencing on pfSense:

I am able to ping from a device on VLAN102 from VLAN101 even though I have the following rule set up. Why aren't incoming pings being blocked at VLAN102? Seems like everything should be blocked both inbound and outbound.

I have the following rule set up on VLAN101, everything is wide open.

Traffic is filtered on the interface it enters. http://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Firewall_Rule_Basics

Thank you, that helped. So I need to think which interface the traffic is hitting first.
