Need guide updated in welcome section of ipv6 forum area
-
I was just reading a thread on HE board about pfsense and IPv6, the person there was using some really outdated info. So I pointed him here, and the guide here http://iserv.nl/files/pfsense/ipv6/
But upon looking that really needs to be updated to the current github urls, etc.

Other than the GIT URL and a few cosmetic differences in the screenshots the guide is still good to go. I just ran through a successful turnup of a tunnel on HE based on the current IPv6 software of PFSense as of yesterday. SixXS is a different story - I need to convert one of my tunnels over to a static setup. I should take a look at adding in AICCU as a package to simplify the deployment.
One thing I'm unsure of is if it's possible to update the static IP within HE via an HTTP POST if the gateway device isn't truly static. Right now I have to manually update it if and when it changes. Which, isn't the end of the world but is annoying on a WiMax link that's not as stable as Cable/DSL.
EDIT:
Someone graciously added a Dynamic DNS in for the HE Tunnel side of things. I just configured it and it works very well. Make sure you're inputting the tunnel ID though when you configure. It's a 5 digit number in my case. Here's the commit:https://github.com/smos/pfsense-ipv6/commit/38a481adc8179b1df06faf0e7fcc08a51a6de53e

I agree the guide is still fine, just needs some tweaks with the updated urls, etc. Someone new to this is prob not going to find the updated urls right off the bat.. Happy to help update it if that is at all possible?
Or maybe can just submit to pfsense docs?

I just updated the guide and put it up on the wiki here: http://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Using_IPv6_on_2.0
