      Hello,

I've read that you should use the 1.3.2 embedded firmware for CF disks on embedded devices.
I am using now the NanoBSD 2 gig latest firmware and it works fine.
Is the NanoBSD or the 2.* series also good for embedded devices (regarding to disk writes on the compact flash, have the 2.* been optmized for doing as less as possible disk writes to preserve the CF disk, something flashrd is doing - mounting everything read only and only for some small commands or applying configuration you will have to turn the disk into read+write and then restore it back after the change to read only.)

      Regards,

      Michiel

They behave the same in that regard. The NanoBSD variations of 1.2.3 and 2.0 are meant to run on CF.

Thanks, that makes me more relaxed about the CF issues and writes ;)
