    Hello everyone.

So I have pfsense setup and so far its been amazing. However I ran into a little dilemma. I have configured a local domain name on pfsense,
lets call it "localnet.me". Lets say my desktop pc name is "tork". When I am on the pc and run ipconfig i get tork.localnet.me as full qualified name. Now when I want to visit my servers wiki (CentOS 6.0 Server) i have to type in http://servername.localnet.me http://servername in order to see the webpage. My question is, is there any way I can have it to where I can type in localnet.me and the browser would automatically take me to the webpage hosted on the server? Also please note that when I do nslookup it looks at pfsense to resolve ips/names.

    Many Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure I follow what you have to type in.

You can set the dns forwarder to resolve local hosts. In Services >> DNS Forwarder: you can set DHCP leases or static IPs to be resolved.
You can also add dns records manually to point at internal servers.

I got it to work. In DNS forwarder i pointed my domain name to the ip address of my server so when I just type in localnet.me in the browser it takes me to my servers intranet wiki webpage. Just dont type in the hostname.
