I am having a similar issue. This is normally happening every other day or so. Prior to upgrading to 2.0 RC3 my PFSense box ran clean for years only needing to reboot if the UPS ran out, or I needed to physically move the box which was very rare.
I tried to upload a pcap, but was not able to. I can copy the text from it and upload that unless there are other options. I attempted to ping out to google.com but got a destination host unreachable right after the gateway address.

Here are the system logs. I had restarted the box to get the traffic moving again and about an hour and a half later it locked up again. So the logs are from the first reboot to right before I rebooted it again. In between the reboots I did change the options for blocking privet networks and bogon networks. The WAN link stopped passing traffic right afterwards so I removed the change, but this did not resolve the issue.

Please don't hijack threads, you're not having the same issue as the thread you took over.

If you get to your ISP's gateway and get an unreachable past there, and have a config that normally works fine and didn't do something like setup manual outbound NAT to send the wrong source IP out that ISP, it's an ISP issue.

My apologies. My intent was not to hijack the other thread. Based on what I reading it looked like a similar issue. I don't think I am able to get to my ISP's gateway when having the issue. Whenever I performed a trace route I was unable to get past the PFsense box.
Prior to upgrading to 2.0-RC3 I never had this problem. After rebooting the PFsense box my connection is fine.
I do not seem to have an issue until the WAN IP is renewed. I am seeing the following in the sys logs prior to traffic stopping:
          Jul 27 21:40:54  php: : rc.newwanip: on (IP address: 67.199.161.84) (interface: opt1) (real interface: rl0).

Can you ping your ISP-assigned gateway from a LAN host or Diag>Ping when that happens?

This happened again this morning. There is something that is odd though. My work VPN was still up and working perfectly fine even though I could not get out from any other computer or start a new VPN on any other computer. Here are the logs.
