  • Any help ?

  • Patience. You're not paying anybody to help you, so people will help you in their own time. Waiting less than 3 hours before "bumping" the thread just makes you look like the kind of person people don't want to help.

It can handle multiple WAN links (that's the whole point of multi-WAN), but unless you really know what you're doing I would highly advise you to use different subnets for each WAN link and the LAN (eg 172.17.1.0/24 for WAN1, 172.17.2.0/24 for WAN2 and 192.168.1.0/24 for your LAN).

  • Thank cry havok.

I'll try as you advise . And let you know how it' s going.

Sorry for my bad English  .

    Regards ,

    Kzack

  • You can have loadbalancing and failover setups, just use search. That is no impossible task

  • Thank metu69.

I Wanna config as you said after combination of 2 wan to 1 LAN .

    Regards,

    Kzack

  • Hi cry haVok !

I already config different subnets as you advise.

Subnets for each WAN link and the LAN (172.17.1.0/24 for WAN1, 172.17.2.0/24 for WAN2 and 192.168.1.0/24 for your LAN).

Pls lead me for next step if you get free time.

    Regards ,

    Kzack

  • Can I recommend that you read the fine documentation, easily found from the pfSense home page.

  • loadbalancing and failover working well now.
but the speed is not double as i expected (2MB).

Although i'm refreshing  Routing and Multi WAN thread every hours, cant see
    any hint about double speed.
How can i config to get double speed?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards,

    Kzack

  • speedtest.net can give guide a good quess what is your maximum speed.
every protocol doesn't support loadbalancing(https), then it's only natural to have one wan connection speeds

  • I've 2 ADSL with 2 different ISP  . Each got  1MB speed .I already tested with speedtest.net and other ways. But I only got 1MB in speed

  • I tried this kind of setup before during the first release of 2.0 and I got a low performance so I quited…

I will give you my setup and please try to improve...

    Wan1 gateway is 192.168.0.1/24
                                                    switch/hub  >  Pfsense IP 192.168.0.100/24
    Wan2 gateway is 192.168.0.2/24  /

  • Frozen_Fire, please ask a separate question so that your problem and kzack's aren't confused.

  • sorry sir, mis-interpreted the topic

  • Hey, i made a simple guide for everyone to follow on how to setup multiwan (2x wan 1x LAN).
The guide assumes that you have already configured pfsense with both wans.
    it's so simple and beautiful.
Step 1-3 sets up the load balancing.
step 4 is about giving specific computers, or ports (services) direct access to only one of the WAN's - in other words, it won't be load balanced.
This helps with certain webpages like facebook or very secure webpages.
    hope it helps
