      Hi,

      Am new in PFSense. I have installed it and it works well. After setting the LAN and WAN adresses Interfaces as following;
      LAN: –> 192.168.22.252
      WAN: --> 192.168.100.206
      Gateway : 192.168.100.230

      I have enbaled the DNS forwarder in addition i have entered in the General Setup config as the dsn server adress : 192.168.100.245

      For the LAN DHCP configuration : DNS Server--> 192.168.22.252 and the defaultgateway: 192.168.22.252

      Am using Vmware and the ping works well but the problem that the dns server in pfsense appears that he didn't work well.
      I have to add more packages in Packages section but it shows :
      Unable to communicate to pfSense.com. Please check DNS, default gateway, etc.

      Any Idea... ???

        try setting the firewall's DNS to 8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4 and see if that works. If it does, then your internal DNS server on 192.168.100.245 may not be working properly.
