Why the authorized_keys are deleted at startup ?

  • Hi,

I have made a cron who made an archive of few important files and directories.
I would like to access to my pfSense from another server to download this file with ssh/scp.

But in v2.0 (RC3) there is a script : /etc/sshd that deleted the /root/.ssh/authorized_keys (and many other private and public keys).

Why ? Is there another (good) way to do this ?

(note: I know it is not considered "secure" to do this, but I'll restrict the source IP adr with a FW rule)
    Thank you :)

Add the keys in the GUI and they are written out from there.

There is a box under System > Advanced, and one in each user, in which you can paste the keys.

  • Thank you, it works !
