      Hello,

I am running a 2.0 RC3 snapshot on a Soekris net5501.  Currently trying to do a manual upgrade to the most current snapshot by SCP'ing the .img.gz file to /root.  However, my transfer speed is very very slow.  After an initial burst around 100KB/s, it has stalled at 20KB/s, which will take about an hour to copy!

I've searched the forums but can't find any explanation for this performance.  Any ideas?

Writing to CF isn't exactly speedy. Far too many variables there to really speculate.

It could be any of these, all of these, or none of these:

        • Speed of the CF
        • Speed of the box itself
        • Other operations on the firewall could be slowing it down (check cpu usage)
        • Might need to increase nmbclusters
        • Sun spots, gremlins, stray sabot, etc, etc.
