      Hi,
I am completely new to pfSense. Just installed ver 1.2.3. Although I allowed SSH via GUI interface under Advanced Functions but still no luck. I am trying to login from LAN. Installation went without any issues on older Dell.

      Thanks in advance.

What is the problem? Are you getting an error, is it timing out,…? Can you ping the LAN IP of the pfSense host?
