Anyone have experience with using this as an alternative to CF II Cards?

It is so hard to come across a 4 GB CF card in my area!  And also very expensive compared to 4 GB SD Cards…..

Cheapest CF card in my area is $40 and up since only one store carries it.  If I need to replace or increase the storage capacity I can pick up an inexpensive SD card anywhere!

Online I would have to ship overnight. (Very Expensive)
Or drive to Frys which is 3 hours time lost from where I live…..

Okay where should I send a 4GB CF?
If I walk to supermarket it'll cost me ~10-12€ to get that kind of card, so even with postages it would be cheaper than your local dealer

Nice!  Grocery stores do not carry them here…. :-(  Minimum is 8 Gb and that is the Extreme....$$$  Since 99% of the digital camera's are SD the Compact Flash market has been wiped out.

Any reason why you don't look through e-bay?

                Something like this?

                http://www.ebay.com/itm/4GB-CF-Sandisk-Card-Ultra-II-SDCFH-4096-SDCFH-004G-/140390402972?pt=Digital_Camera_Memory_Cards&hash=item20afeb8b9c

                Or this?

Also 8 gigs aren't too bad on the price as the wear leveling will last longer.

I would stick with SanDisk and Transcend brands as they are known to be more reliable.
