      Hi

I have a nokia IP330 which I read a lot of people have successfully installed pfsense on.

So i pulled the IDE drive from it and installed onto a spare pc, booted pfsense (tried 1.2.3 and 2.0)and installed onto the harddrive, the only option I changed was to choose 'embedded no vga' as its a console device.

I put the drive back in and watch it start booting, it gets past the 1,2,3,4,5 menu and then i get:

Trying to mount root from ufs:/dev/ad2s1a

I know the hardrive is ok as i did a normal 'pc' installed and it worked fine.

Anyone know what I can do ? The full log is below:

        ok found a fix.

for some unknown reason pfsense was trying to boot from a non existant partition, the installer somehow got the wrong name.

I forced it to the correct by:

Trying to mount root from ufs:/dev/ad2s1a

        Manual root filesystem specification:
          <fstype>:<device>Mount <device>using filesystem <fstype>eg. ufs:da0s1a
?                  List valid disk boot devices
          <empty line="">Abort manual input

        mountroot> ?

List of GEOM managed disk devices:
          ufsid/4e7a0c1bbf9d728f ad0s1c ad0s1b ad0s1a ad0s1 ad0

        Manual root filesystem specification:
          <fstype>:<device>Mount <device>using filesystem <fstype>eg. ufs:da0s1a
?                  List valid disk boot devices
          <empty line="">Abort manual input
