      Setting up a branch office

      I have installed pfSense onto an alix board … I want to route traffice from interanl network 192.168.x.x to external network 172.x.x.x

      I have LAN side with ip 192.168.245.1 no gateway ...
      I have WAN side with ip 172.16.172.200 with a gateway of 172.16.172.1

      I can ping the WAN ip from branch office and can ping branch office ip using the pf tools ping.

      I cannot ping the WAN ip from the LAN side of the alix board nevermind anything further.

      I do not need the firewall so I have disabled it, which also disables NAT .. do I have to have the firewall on? or some other setting ?
