      On pfsense 2.0-RELEASE (amd64) built on Tue Sep 13 17:05:32 EDT 2011

I am trying to install vnstat2 but it fails.  Searching this forum, I found other people having similar issues with other packages.  All were fixed by an admin or other developers… I couldnt find people with the same problem for vnstat2 (as of now)...

I get this in the package install window:

      Beginning package installation for vnstat2...
      Downloading package configuration file... done.
      Saving updated package information... done.
      Downloading vnstat2 and its dependencies...

      of vnstat-1.10_2 failed!

      Installation aborted. Backing up libraries...
      Removing package...
Starting package deletion for vnstat-1.10_2... done.
      Removing vnstat2 components...

      Menu items... done.

Include file vnstat2.inc could not be found for inclusion.
      Deinstall commands...
Not executing custom deinstall hook because an include is missing.
      Removing package instructions...done.
      Auxiliary files... done.
      Package XML... done.
      Configuration... done.
Cleaning up... Failed to install package.

      Installation halted.

      What to do?
      Thanks!

According to my "visit" on the public FTP (/pub/FreeBSD/ports/amd64/packages-8.2-release/All) , the package has been upgraded to 1.10_3 while pfsense search for 1.10_2…
Seems that the package 1.10_2 from 8.1-release has been phased out?

yikes!  I just moved my machine and reinstalled on a new box and got this message.  vnstat was working great otherwise.

I know I am in the same boat and not knowing FreeBSD that much I am left with no options but to wait for the developers to pickup that glitch.  Too bad because I was counting on vnstat2 to monitor my bandwidth starting on the first day of my billing cycle, i.e. yesterday  :'(

Yes it was working great…. Any clue how to install package manually?  Or should we wait for the pfsense folks to fix it?

OK seems that somebody finally fixed the install… its now working but I am facing another problem:

When I go in the vnstat php page (no login) I see:

Notice: Undefined index: totalrx in /usr/local/www/vnstat2/index.php on line 77
Notice: Undefined index: totalrxk in /usr/local/www/vnstat2/index.php on line 77
Notice: Undefined index: totaltx in /usr/local/www/vnstat2/index.php on line 78
Notice: Undefined index: totaltxk in /usr/local/www/vnstat2/index.php on line 78

              And all counters are zero…

              What is that?
              :'(

Might be luck or whatever but I clicked "Save" everywhere in the config of vnstat and now it works…
