      I currently run my LAN interface into the integrated NIC in my pfSense box, and I run the WAN interface through a PCI card.  What would be the best way to switch my WAN interface over to an ISA card so I could use the PCI card for something else? Downtimes of 2 hours-ish are ok.

        No.  ISA is slow, and usually a real nightmare to configure on any OS because of the crap you have to deal with (IRQ's, addresses, etc.).

          Yesh, even a Realtek is better than any ISA card.  If you insist on doing this, what you want is under Interfaces->Assign.  Or you can change the interface assignment from the console menu - choose the option that reads (oddly enough) Assign Interfaces.

            @deadlygopher:

            ISA card

            ISA NIC = Trash, don't even think it.
