      I'm still configuring pfSense - it now has a WAN, a LAN and about 25 vLans (2-17, 20, 51-55 & 64).

It takes a long time to boot - if I put a monitor on the pfSense machine, I get a lot of counts from 1% to 100% (I think this is when it's loading/configuring snort).  By a long time, I mean about 5 minutes - does this sound right?

That sounds about right. Our pfsense box with 2gigs RAM, dual core CPU at 2.2 Ghz takes about that long to boot. What matters is that the performance is good, which our performance is outstanding.

As long as it sounds right then I'm happy.

          Thanks
