      I'm getting a 404 error when I try to get /FreeBSD_RELENG_8_1/i386/pfSense_RELENG_2_0/.updaters/ .

I'm doing a new setup and Dashbord was reporting it was unable to check updates.
For the last hour or two I thought my DNS was misconfigured - till I started packet sniffing.

Is there an alternative url we can use for now (2.1 dev i386) ?

      Thanks.

I think 2.1 dev updates are only via git sync.

take a look at this doc:

        http://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Updating_pfSense_code_between_snapshots

        Treinamentos de Elite: http://sys-squad.com

          If I google -> snapshots.pfsense.org,
every link in the snapshots.pfsense.org domain comes up 404 when I click on it.

If I try to navigate my browser through the snapshots.pfsense.org domain, every link returns 404.

          http://snapshots.pfsense.org/FreeBSD_RELENG_8_1/i386/pfSense_RELENG_2_0/livecd_installer/?C=M

          http://snapshots.pfsense.org/FreeBSD_RELENG_8_1/i386/pfSense_HEAD/.updaters/

          http://snapshots.pfsense.org/FreeBSD_RELENG_8_1/amd64/pfSense_HEAD/.updaters/

Is anyone else able to Update

Snapshots aren't made anymore.  The final release has been finished and your update link needs to be changed in your updater if it still references the snapshot server.  If you would like to use the beta for 2.1 you have to use the git sync as outlined by marcelloc.

Sounds like I'm a little slow on the uptake.  I wasn't aware of the change in update procedure.

              Thanks for setting me straight.

We put the 2.0 update on the snapshot server since many were already looking there. Really those should be pointed at updates.pfsense.org (pick the right one from the drop-down)

The snapshots server is moving back to its primary duty of serving snapshots, but it isn't quite ready for public consumption yet.

There haven't been any updates since 2.0-RELEASE.

To get the proper URL, go to the firmware settings tab and pick the right update selection from the drop-down menu there. It's different depending on whether you have i386 or amd64
